The UAE Tour Organizing Committee has announced the date of the third edition of the one and only World Tour race in the Middle East, which will be held from 21-27 February 2021, following the confirmation of the date from the Union Cyclist International (UCI) on its racing agenda for 2021.
The UAE Tour represents a distinctive model of continuous national success and is in line for the global leaderships vision of attracting the most important international events as well as professional athletes.
The organising committee will follow all necessary Covid-19 precautions to safeguard the safety of the riders, teams and staff.
The UAE Tour demonstrates the UAE’s capabilities in international sport and highlights its role in bringing people together in the UAE which is the home of peace and tolerance.
Earlier this year, the UAE Tour was won by Adam Yates, following a fierce competition with Tadej Pogacar of the (UAE Team Emirates) who was recently crowned champion of 2020 Tour de France, when he excelled in a thrilling victory on the summit of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain February 2020.
The last edition featured 20 teams, with 140 riders competing, including talented former world champions Alejandro Valverde (Movisar Team), Chris Froome (Team Ineos) and many other cycling stars.
