The World Padel Tour 2023 season opener, the Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master got off to a flying start as it witnessed a record-breaking audience on WorldPadelTourTV as well as on live television broadcasting, making it the most watched padel tournament in history, drawing fans from around the world to watch the best padel players in some thrilling action. The live online broadcast on World Padel Tour TV set an unprecedented record with over 1.7 million views and 367,000 unique viewers, and a television record of live broadcasting in over 150 countries.
The dynamic and fast-paced action on the court captivated viewers throughout the six days at Bab Al Nojoum on Hudayriyat Island, with the round of 16 encounter that saw Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan take on Miguel Yanguas and Alejandro Arroyo being the most-watched, garnering nearly 200,000 live views. Additionally, four different matches throughout the week were watched live by over 100,000 viewers.

The electrifying atmosphere at the tournament was fueled by passionate crowds, with the final attendance figure of more than 6,000 visitors highlighting the rising popularity of padel in the UAE. The live-action from the Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master was broadcasted on live television in more than 150 countries as well as online on via WorldPadelTourTV.
The success of the inaugural World Padel Tour event highlights the growing popularity of this exciting and dynamic sport and sets the stage for even more thrilling tournaments to come. The World Padel Tour Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master was organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with Global MICE Organisation Limited (GMOL) Events. Modon Properties was the title sponsor for the UAE’s newest international sporting event, while other key sponsors included Emirates Post Group, McDonald’s, Bullpadel, Hilton, Estrella Damm, and Head, among others.
