Abu Dhabi will host the Leaders World Sport Business Summit for three years from 2019 to 2021 following an agreement between the Leaders and Abu Dhabi Sports Council on Wednesday, 21 March 2018.
The event is set to draw more than 20 speakers from around the world, including five from the Gulf Nations, and conducted by the Leaders in corporation with ADSC.
HE Aref Hamad Al Awani, general secretary of ADSC, said the summit further strengthens the reputation of Abu Dhabi as a hub for hosting world-class sporting events, forums and conferences.
"We are delighted to host the summit that connects people in the industry and ideas resulting in the success of an event," he said.
Simon Lau, the co-founder and chief commercial officer of the Leaders, insisted the Sport Business Summit in Abu Dhabi will sit alongside other premium sports industry summits in New York, London and Beijing.
"We offer a series that is both top-level in terms of the on-stage discussions and the delegates who attend, and genuinely global in scope," he said.
