Faisal Al Rahmani- UAE’s nominee for the chairmanship of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing “IFAHR” -has been elected be the new chairman for the coming four year.
Al Rahmani has been elected unanimously during the meeting general assembly of IFAHR held in Paris on Saturday, 30 September 2017.
Al Rahmani has been elected as the Belgian nomine got 17 votes, with 16 votes for each of the Qatari and Swedish nominees.
Commenting on his victory, Al Rahmani said: “I dedicated this victory to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for their unwavering support to Arabian horses, flat and endurance horse racing.”
Al Rahman- who is also a consultant to ADSC- dedicated this victory as well to HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and to HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs for their support and advises.
He concluded saying the coming period will witness huge development based on the instructions of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan in terms of the sports of purebred Arabian horses. He thanks all those who voted for him, and valued their trust in the UAE to lead IFAHR for the coming 4 years.
For her part, Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Festival for purebred Arabian Horses flat racing, extended her congratulations to the leaders and people of the UAE on this new victory for UAE equestrian sports.
