Young footballers were provided with valuable pre-season match practice in an age group competition organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and held over two weeks.
More than 360 players for four different age groups – U14, U15, U16 and U18 – from Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Al Jazira, Al Wahda and Baniyas took part in the competitions held in Al Ain, Jazira and Baniyas stadiums.
“The concept of this competition was to provide young players pre-season matches and prepare them for the 2018-2019 season,” said Saeed Al Muhairi, director of the Department of Technical Affairs at ADSC.
“All these players can take the experience forward and may have also showed the technical staff of their respective clubs of their skill levels and readiness to play in tournaments.”
