The triathlon and duathlon organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) drew 765 competitors in over the weekend at the Hudayriat Island
The triathlon was worked off over the Olympic distance of 1,500m swim, 41km cycling and the 10km run, the short courses consisted of 375m, 11km, 2.5km and 750m, 21km, 5km over the three disciplines.
In the duathlon race was made up of 21km cycling and 2.5km, and the course for the juniors was run over 11km cycling and 750m run respectively.
Khalid Al Qubaisi, Head of Community Sports at ADSC, said the response was overwhelming with excitement all-round over the two days.
ADSC will conduct a swimming championship on Saturday October 13 and those wishing to take part can register through their website www.adsc.ae.
